Alonette is a singer-songwriter whose adventurous folk-pop blends seventies-inspired harmonies with modern songwriting, earning acclaim as one of Estonia’s most compelling new voices.

Alonette negotiates the existentialism of wasted days like an idyllic role-playing game in a child’s head. The Estonian singer-songwriter’s folk-pop goes hand in hand with vocal harmonies in homage to the sound of the seventies and yet the surprising twists and turns of her songs sound unagitatedly experimental, adventurous, even downright modern.
In March 2025, Alonette released her debut album “Compass”, praised for its maturity, rich sonority and the ability to balance vulnerability with wit. The album received 3 nominations at the Estonian Music Awards 2026 (EMA) and has taken her to perform for audiences at Reeperbahn Festival, BUSH, Riga Music Week, and Estonia’s Jazzkaar and Tallinn Music Week, among others, marking her as one of Estonia’s most intriguing new voices.

Alonette charms with tenderness, letting her confessional songs and odes to day-to-day existentialism flow out of her with an ease akin to a child’s fantasy play.
Alongside Alonette, “Compass” features Estonian musicians Erki Pärnoja (guitars), Marti Tärn (bass), Raun Juurikas (keys), Martin Petermann (drums) and a string quartet. With bold melodies and vibrant arrangements, Alonette effortlessly walks the line between simplicity and intricacy. Her band, a lineup of some of Estonia’s most sought after instrumentalists, enriches and completes Alonette’s whimsical ambience.

“…Tallinn’s own Alonette, whose dreamy Americana-tinged songs would place her comfortably on a sunny afternoon at Green Man or End of the Road festivals. Listening to a song like “Uneasy”, it’s a sin that she’s not listed on those bills.” – John Bell at Tallinn Music Week 2026, The Line of Best Fit

“At the down-home bar/restaurant Ezītis Migla, jazz-rooted fellow Estonian Anett Tamm – who records and plays as Alonette – is in the Jessica Pratt ballpark or, looking back earlier, educes Linda Perhacs or the 1968 Tim Buckley. This comes across as a big deal, as being on the ground floor of something significant.”
– Kieron Tyler at Riga Music Week 2025, The Arts Desk
“Among the many highlights is Estonian singer/songwriter Anett Tamm, aka Alonette, whose updated Karen Carpenter vibe puts her on a footing with artists like Weyes Blood and Canada’s The Weather Station.”
– Alan Pedder at Tallinn Music Week 2025, The Line of Best Fit
“This isn’t just a nostalgic trip—it’s a deeply observant journey through personal longing and the human experience.”
– Tina Sollowsky on “Compass”, Indiemergente
“Estonian singer Alonette (aka Anett Tamm) is one of those fascinating pop artists who remain hugely listenable despite quite complex modulations.”
– Jez Fielder, Euronews Culture
